Tulsa First Responders Will Project

Natalie Leone understands the importance and pressure Tulsa first responders deal with on a day-in, and day-out basis.

Tulsa first responders such as firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and paramedics shoulder a lot of responsibility. They are usually the first on the scene to face challenging, dangerous, and draining situations. They are also the first to reach out to disaster survivors and provide emotional and physical support to them.

That is why Natalie Leone and other members of the Tulsa County Bar Association will be donating much of their time this month and into the beginning part of May to support Tulsa-area first responders.

As part of the Annual Law Week activities presented by the Tulsa County Bar Association, Leone and other legal colleagues will host the First Responders Will Project.

Participating attorneys will draft out free wills for first responders. Registration for the event began on April 3 and consultations will take place through April 28. The Document Execution clinic is Friday, May 5 at the Tulsa Bar Center where participating first responders will sign their wills.

“They do so much for our community, often putting their life on the line for us,” Natalie Leone said of first responders. “They work in a very difficult and demanding industry that can often take a physical and emotional toll on themselves and their families. That we are able to provide these services really is a small token of our appreciation for all the hard work they do within the Tulsa community.”

Natalie Leone said she already is signed up for three wills this year and could have more signed up before the April 28 deadline.

“This is our third year holding the event,” Natalie Leone said. “We had about 80 first responders show up in 2021 and we expect an even larger turnout this year.”

Natalie Leone Expanding Service Catalog at Rivas & Associates

Since joining Rivas & Associates in January, Natalie Leone has already implemented a lot of changes at the well-known immigration law firm.

The dynamic attorney has experience in business, civil, and criminal law along with being licensed to practice in both Oklahoma and Texas. Leone has helped spearhead the firm’s new business department which is aimed at enabling clients with the opportunity to form their own businesses and also fulfill annual renewal and maintenance requirements.

As part of the expanding catalog of business services Rivas & Associates offers clients, Leone said the firm will begin providing estate planning services. These include:

  • Living Wills and Trusts
  • Estate Tax Planning
  • Asset Protection Planning

This is something we are very excited about being able to provide to our clientele,” Natalie Leone said. “The First Responders Will Project will really be one of our first opportunities to promote our Estate Planning Services. We are also really the only law firm where that can send Spanish-speaking first responders. We are excited to be a part of the event.”
