Douglas Miller

Douglas Miller is an attorney and the Director of Compliance at Rivas & Associates. He earned his Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School in 2008 and has been an active member of the Oklahoma Bar Association for more than 15 years.

Douglas brings more than a decade of experience building and leading compliance programs in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments. He served as Director of Operations and Compliance at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he oversaw regulatory compliance across numerous states, managed the full lifecycle of institutional contracts, and advised executive leadership on emerging legal and regulatory developments. He’s also represented the State of Oklahoma, defending it in civil litigation in courts throughout the state. He is a frequent presenter on legal and regulatory topics, including privacy, ADA compliance, and the legal issues surrounding artificial intelligence.

At Rivas & Associates, Douglas works behind the scenes to make sure every client receives the same high standard of care. He develops and audits the firm’s policies and procedures, identifies risks before they become problems, and helps the firm meet its ethical and professional obligations.
