Biography

Maria Stallings is a consultation attorney with Rivas and Associates. A proud member of the Texas State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Maria embarked on her legal journey in 2022 as a criminal defense attorney near her hometown in Houston, Texas, with the drive to defend those who often feel powerless in the face of the judicial system. Since then, her commitment to helping others has only grown, as she began to defend those facing deportation in immigration court and advocate for their relief before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Today, she utilizes her legal expertise to assist clients in navigating complex immigration processes and protecting their rights, ensuring they receive the fair representation and immigration benefits they deserve.

When she is not reviewing the details of our clients’ situations and developing a strategy for their immigration relief, Maria is committed to making the world a better place for everyone. In her downtime, she can be found tending to her garden, where she raises organic fruits, vegetables, chickens, and eggs for her family and the local community. She is also an active member of her local church and serves as a Sunday school teacher for Kindergarteners. She is perpetually aiming to foster a deeper connection with nature, her community, and God.

Driven by faith, Maria Stallings is more than an attorney. She is a figure of hope. Through every case she reviews and every seed she plants, Maria’s influence grows, proving that one person can indeed make a positive difference. This is especially true when they work with a team of like-minded individuals, which she was blessed to have found here at Rivas & Associates.
