Erin Hoff

Biography

Erin Hoff is an immigration attorney licensed to practice in Washington, DC. She earned her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, graduating in 2023. Erin focuses her practice on immigration law with an emphasis on detained adult representation. She also completed a competitive fellowship through the Immigrant Justice Corps, where she represented unaccompanied minors and worked directly with vulnerable immigrant populations navigating the legal system.

Erin’s passion for immigrant rights is deeply rooted in both her personal background and professional experience. She previously served as a fellow at the National Immigrant Justice Center through the Immigrant Justice Corps Unaccompanied Minors Program, where she gained hands on experience advocating for individuals facing some of the most challenging circumstances within the immigration system. Her work is driven by a strong belief in due process and the importance of protecting fundamental rights, especially in an environment that can often feel overwhelming and unfair to those impacted.

Growing up surrounded by diverse cultures played a formative role in Erin’s path to becoming an immigration attorney. With a Brazilian stepmother, long standing friendships with families from around the world, and years of hosting international exchange students from Germany, Turkey, and Switzerland, Erin was exposed early on to the immigrant experience from many perspectives. These experiences shaped her commitment to immigrant justice and strengthened her desire to serve clients with empathy, respect, and determination.
