Natalie Leone adds a dynamic skill set to Rivas & Associates as the firm’s newest attorney.
Natalie brings extensive experience in business, civil, and criminal law on both sides of the aisle to the well-known national immigration law firm. Her arrival opens the door for Rivas & Associates to provide key business services to current and future clients.
“The two main areas I will be focusing on are business formation – helping get clients lined up to start a business – and annual maintenance for companies such as filling annual renewals with the Secretary of the State,” Natalie Leone said during a recent Zoom interview.
Natalie added that “a lot of businesses don’t realize the maintenance that is involved” or what the requirements are to keep a business running. Because of this, several immigrant-owned businesses end up getting canceled each year because they have not filed their annual renewals.
“Lorena (Rivas) and I began talking late last year about how there are many clients in need of business law services,” Natalie Leone said. “We both agree that expanding our catalog of services to include business immigration law will enable our clients to complete even more of the American Dream.”
That Natalie Leone was at the top of Lorena Rivas’ short list of attorneys to fill the position is not surprising.
She is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Oklahoma and is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, where she serves as a member of the Women in Law Committee and a member of the EPT section and business law section, the Texas Bar Association, the Ft. Bend County Bar Association, the Tulsa County Bar Association, and the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity.
Natalie graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Management, The University of Tulsa College of Business in 2008 with a Master of Business Administration, and The University of Tulsa School of Law in 2008 with a Juris Doctorate.
Prior to joining Rivas & Associates, she worked as an associate at a defense firm where she focused primarily on insurance defense and estate planning, worked for Bank of Oklahoma as the primary tax guru for large estates, practiced with a boutique estate planning firm, coached other attorneys as an elite trial consultant, and served first as a prosecutor then as a public defender for Tulsa County.
In addition to her vast legal experience, Natalie has also launched several businesses as an entrepreneur. She understands balancing all the competing needs of a business and loves helping people realize their American Dream, which she says makes Rivas & Associates a great fit for her.
“I am impressed with the scope of the firm and how many clients they help nationwide,” Natalie Leone said. “I think the passion we exhibit for our clients and each other makes this a special firm.”
Natalie is originally from Sand Diego, CA but currently resides in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with her three fabulous children, two rambunctious puppies, and one sassy cat. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing nerdy boardgames, doing overly ambitious home improvement projects, and gliding around a ballroom dance floor.
