Despite the name, the Violence Against Women Act also covers men who have been victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking by a U.S. citizen or permanent resident family member.

Asilo
You are eligible to apply for asylum to the United States if you meet the national definition of Refugee. This can mean that you have suffered persecution or fear you will suffer persecution based on:
